PUBG and BGMI have become very popular in India. Many smartphone companies have also introduced gaming phones in view of this craze. Now many domestic studios have started developing their own battle royale game for mobile. The best example of which is Indus Battle Royale, which has been launched with the Indian flavour. According to the news, BGMI is going to be seen competing in the future.
The trailer of the game created a stir: Another Indian studio named Mayhem Studios has already started pre-registration (on the Google Play Store) for its upcoming Battle Royale title called Underworld Gang Wars (UGW). The game has already crossed 2 million pre-registrations in just one week and the number continues to grow. The trailer of the game has also been able to cross 17 million views on YouTube and has so far been given a positive welcome from the Indian mobile gaming community. The game appears to take inspiration from popular gangsters like Gangs of Wasseypur, Sacred Games and Mirzapur.
So far, it appears that the game has a gang-based Battle Royale mode and another game mode that possibly pits 2 gangs called Bhokal Toli and Velvets against each other. This is going to be something similar to battlefield's war mode where two teams made up of multiple players are about to clash with the 'Capture the Objective' type setting. On the other hand, it could also be a team death match style game mode. A map called "Dhantara" is also going to be shown in the trailer. The map with diverse locations and diverse topography seems very interesting in itself. Since the game is already available for pre-registration, it is also expected to launch sometime this year.
